7 Days To Die Server Hosting (2022)
Last updated: May 14, 2022

In my many years of gaming on PC (and several consoles) online I have come across many stories around people’s experiences hiring game servers. These people simply wanted to host an environment for them and their friends to play in peace online but experiences varied greatly.
A lot of people seem to have had bad experiences (you rarely tell others of a good experience) and so it seems most game server hosting companies have no idea what they are doing. I have my own share of tales and so I decided to put these major companies to the test and document it here.
I decided to put 31 game hosting companies that offer 7 Days To Die server hosting to the test. What I then did was narrow these companies down to the top 10 and summarise them on this page below.
How to choose your ideal 7DTD server hosting provider
You can find 7 Days To Die server hosting available with many companies, the price has dropped dramatically over the years. Luckily for the players, the drop in price and increased adoption by game hosting providers has allowed us to be pickier with who we give our cash to.
When you are browsing through potential companies to host your game with I recommend you prioritize a provider with data-centers physical near to you and your friends. Less distance between you and the 7DTD server ensures a low-lag experience and smoother game-play for all those connected.
Another important aspect to consider is the slot count for the server you are renting. A slot is a space reserved for a player joining your server, so if you had a 10 slot 7DTD server then you could have up to 1 player connected at one time.
For a more in-depth explanation of my 7 Days To Die server hosting provider process check out my supporting guide.
The important factors summed up:
- The total cost per month
- The ease of setting it up
- Performance of your server under load
- Adding mods to your server
- The support-ticket waiting time
- Extra features in control panel
My Top 10 Providers
Let’s get down to who I believe are the top 10 providers from the 31 I tested for 7 Days To Die server hosting.

LOW.MS - The Best Budget 7DTDHost
Ranks #1 of 10 7DTD hosts
The Positives
Team made up of experienced members who had left a different provider
A large catalogue of niche games
Competitively priced
The Negatives
A fairly new company
Control Panel
Video Tour Image SlideshowLOW.MS would have a higher spot on this list if it weren’t for them being the newest. Established in 2015, the company has seemed to have hit the floor running thanks to the founder’s previous experience working and running other game hosting companies previously.
With a large catalog of supported games and support staff that know what they are talking about, LOW.MS was a great 7DTD server hosting provider when I tested them.
If you are looking for a European, Australian or American-based game server then these guys are definitely worth your interest. Price-wise they are sat at the lower end but are definitely not the cheapest.

GameServers.com - Most Established 7DTD Host
Ranks #2 of 10 7DTD hosts
The Positives
Back by a huge data-center company
Host lots of different games
Provide hosting directly to game companies
Possibly the oldest game hosting company
Servers in every region
They don't pay for their Truspilot account
The Negatives
High price compared to others
Outdated website
Control Panel
Video Tour Image SlideshowThese behemoths of the game server industry have been around since the turn of the century and are backed by a huge data-center company. The talent they have working for them is evident in their custom-built control panel with countless unique features paired with friendly and knowledgeable support staff.
What put me off initially was the very out-dated website they use, it works fine but doesn’t seem to show off what it’s really like when you get deep into being a customer.
You can choose your 7 Days To Die server hosting to be anywhere in a huge list of potential locations. You can also choose to switch instantly if you find your players are tending to be based in a different region than you originally expected, which is a nice feature added by GameServers.com.

Host Havoc - The Best All Round Host
Ranks #3 of 10 7DTD hosts
The Positives
Dynamic and friendly team
Focus on providing an amazing service for a few games
Value for money feature-ful game hosting
The Negatives
Relatively new provider compared to others on list
Less locations worldwide
Control Panel
Video Tour Image SlideshowThese guys couldn’t do enough to help me out when I pinged them through the support ticket system and the whole purchase setup process was dead easy. I felt like the seamless experience and low prices warranted them a decent spot on this top 10 list.
Host Havoc has server locations across Europe, Australia and America they handle the Western world seamlessly, if you live elsewhere then they, unfortunately, fall flat. I would suggest moving onto the next provider in the list if you are not in these regions, such as Asia and Africa.

Survival Servers - The Best Modded 7DTD Host
Ranks #4 of 10 7DTD hosts
The Positives
Experts in mods for all games
Custom built control panel
Stay very up to date with server tech
The Negatives
Premium pricing
Only EU and USA locations
From my time testing Survival Servers, it was clear to see that they are serious about modded games. From the history/about page on their site and by talking to the support team they focus a lot of energy on modding and making it easy to add and maintain mods to your 7DTD server.
The custom control panel they have built in-house seriously puts them ahead of the rest in terms of features and it’s just unfortunate that they don’t cater for more games.
Support was quick and helpful when I sent them 3 test support requests, they definitely know their stuff. They seem to have built a culture among their company which shows in their image on social media and when speaking to them through support tickets.

Nitrous Networks - The Best US 7DTD Host
Ranks #5 of 10 7DTD hosts
The Positives
Backed by a large gaming brand
Easy to use modern website
The Negatives
Less locations to choose from
From the beautifully designed website and checkout process to a clean and easy-to-use control panel, my time testing Nitrous Networks was a pleasure.
The support was quick and knowledgeable which is good to know but less of a requirement thanks to their great back-end 7DTD server hosting management system.
The big letdown for Nitrous Networks though was the high price, it shadowed the rest of the providers on here by quite a bit.

Ping Perfect - The Best UK 7DTD Host
Ranks #6 of 10 7DTD hosts
The Positives
Support a community of Twitchers
Wide range of games
Lots of global locations
The Negatives
Support was a little slow
Testing Ping Perfect out by renting a 7 Days To Die server was a satisfactory experience. The support got back to me relatively quickly and sorted my issues out that I requested of them.
Price-wise, Ping Perfect sat in the middle of this list in terms of “price per slot” but they do a cheap starter package that may be good for people expecting to only play with a few friends.

GTX Gaming - The Best BIG 7DTD Host
Ranks #7 of 10 7DTD hosts
The Positives
Experienced UK based team
Cover almost every game
Loads of server locations
The Negatives
Some regions require additional fee
Control Panel
Image SlideshowA truly global game hosting company with competitive prices and a catalog of supported games as long as your arm!
GTX Gaming is a great choice for anybody looking for a simple 7 Days To Die server hosting solution that is up in minutes and won’t break the bank.
These guys provide a good experience in terms of support and control panel, not perfect but great value for money.
You can host your game server in data-centers all over the world but unfortunately, the more “exotic” locations tend to carry a premium price.

Streamline Servers - The Best Global 7DTD Host
Ranks #8 of 10 7DTD hosts
The Positives
Passionate about server performance
The Negatives
Usually pretty expensive
A company that is hot on performance is Streamline Servers. Take a look at their offering and you will see that they strive for the top hardware, with water-cooled servers pushed to the limits.
Obviously, this performance comes at a cost but if you are looking for the best of the best then they may be just what you are after.
As you can see from the chart above, they have loads of server locations all over the world to ensure you can take advantage of the performance effectively.
Lastly on my list of the top 10 7 Days To Die server hosting providers is Bisect Hosting. The way they sell their 7DTD servers is different from the other guys on this list, they sell you the resources and then you decide how many players you will allow – in order for you to choose to push your server hard or keep it comfortably running.
The support and control panel are satisfactory and as you would expect for a discount game hosting company.
Bisect Hosting are know for their Minecraft server hosting but later branched out to 7DTD and other games to expand their audience base.

Fragnet - The Best Bitcoin 7DTD Host
Ranks #10 of 10 Gmod hosts
The Positives
Lots of server locations
Server hosting experts
Backed by a large server company
The Negatives
Outdated website
Expensive starter package
On the high-end of pricing on this list is Fragnet, a company with plenty of server locations around the world and a wide range of payment options – including Bitcoin!
My experience with them was on par with some of the cheaper providers on this list and that’s why they have ended up on the lower part of this top 10.
Important 7DTD Hosting Features
Before going ahead with a provider on this list make sure that they have these important features if your budget can handle them.
These aren’t the only things you need to keep in mind but they are important for this game.
Check out my supporting guide Choosing a 7DTD Hosting Provider for more in-depth explanations of what you need to look for.
Backups
Due to the nature of the 7DTD game, you don’t want to lose your (and your guest players) progress due to a human error or a hardware failure.
Make sure that your chosen supplier has backups included or budget for the extra cost if that’s the case.
Mod Support
Make sure that you have at least FTP access so that you can upload your own 7DTD mods if that’s the sort of thing you are into.
Ideally, your provider will have an easy-to-use system that allows you to simply choose a popular mod from a list and it will install it for you.
